"مهلة الجمزاوي" كائن من كلمات، تقترب من الشعر أكثر من قربها إلى رحيق القصة القصيرة، إنسانة على جانب كبير من الرهافة والليونة، وقد تنكسر فهلاً إذا مسها النسيم عفواً... مزحومة إلى رموشها بالقلق والمحبة وتغرق في شبر واحد من إحساسها المفرط الذي يسابقها إلى الكتاب، وبرغم ذلك فهي تملك زمام نفسها، ويمكنها أن تسخر من أخطاء الدنيا. إنها ماهرة في مسك (اللحظة) التي ستكتب عنها. مشاعرها أبداً لا تفارقها وهي تصطاد (الفكرة)... وسترى كيف تصنع حالة التبادل بين رجل يأخذ مكان الطفل في لمحة خاطر. القصص جميعها قصيرة جداً، حتى أطولها في نهاية المجموعة-إنما تحكي عن ومضة خطفت، أو عن نيزك ساقط من القلب، ذلك أن القصص كلها إنما تشبه حالة من حالات الحلم، أو البرق، أو المطر، وأعتقد أن الكاتبة "نهلة الجمزاوي" يمكنها أن تصعد على جناح القصة القصيرة جداً صوب أعمال أطول، ذلك أن ما تملكه من عطاء وأفكار يساعدها على اختراق عالم أكثر شعاباً وسعة ونمولً، وأكثر طرقاً على جيوش المفردات... تذكروا أنها كائن من حروف وفوارز ونقاط وسطور، كائن من كلمات... وإذا كانت هذه "العربة" أول ولادة لها، فإن عليكم اكتشاف مستقبل "نهلة الجمزاوي" إنها تمشي بالعربة الصحيحة إلى المكان الصحيح، لذلك لا بد أن تصل في الزمان الصحيح.
