ويتم ذلك من خلال وشيجة نفسية برعت الكاتبة في رسم تفاصيلها وإسقاطاتها على كل ما يدور حولها من عالم يخصُّها، ولكنه مليء بالندوب والحفَر والأغبرة المقيمة على الجسد والروح.. تلك الثنائية التي تتناوب عليها أحداث السرد في هذه الرواية التي تشتعل معها طاقات التعبير وترتقي إلى حيث التعبير بالدلالة والعلامات السيميائية المتناثرة في أنحاء الرواية، النفس المعذَّبة بأتون حيرتها وتشظّيها، متمثلةً في العلامة الكبرى (العربة الرمادية) التي اختزلت بها الكاتبة العمرَ كله على حدّ السواء، وعبّرت بها عنه خير تعبير..
