سعفة يابسة مقطوعة من جذع نخلة، مرمية على رأس جبل لم تزرع فيه. السعفة رميت حيث نشفت على أرض غريبة وهي لا تدري من شردها إلى هنا: كانت زينة للأفراح وملازمة للطرب والسهر. وصارت... ماذا صارت؟ سعفة يابسة غريبة مرمية. هل سعفوا البيت بها؟ أنزلوا خيوط العنكبوت الجاثمة على زوايا الجدران المهجورة؟ فجأة ترتفع في النفس أغنية، لكنها لا تصلني. إنها تصدر من سطح الجيران في ليلة من ليالي صيف بغداد. السعفة الغريبة اليابسة لا تستطيع العودة إلى جذعها وروائها لتزين هناك الحفلات والأفراح. انفعالي لا أستطيع إيقافه ولا أستطيع إعلامه وأدري أنني لا أستطيع إرجاع الماضي ولا أستطيع المشاركة في هذا الحاضر. أهذا يقين؟ لو كان يقيناً فهو يريحني مع أنه يؤلمني. نعم إنه يقيني فمن يستطيع مثلي شراء الراحة بالألم دون حاجة لجراحة تجميل للزمن؟؟
