يأتي هذا الكتاب في بيان حكم الله سبحانه وتعالى في مسألة التجميل الجراحي عن طريق بحث علمي تطبيقي صحيح وضعه الشيخ "علي الحائري الشمري" جمع فيه ما هو ضروري من الإجتهادات الفقهية التي لها إرتباط بالموضوع المدروس.
وبدأ ببيان أصل كلمة الجمال ومرادفاتها وأضدادها وتصريفاتها ثم موقع الجمال والتجميل في العُرف والشرع والعقل، متطرقاً إلى تاريخ الجمال وإهتمام الإنسان به وبالتجميل وبالعمليات الجراحية والجينية، بعد أن بيّن المراد من التجميل الجراحي الجيني "بأنه إستعمال ما يجرح وما يحصل به التجميل نحو الأجمل أو... القبح أو التشوه أو العاهة"...
ثم عرض لبعض البحوث المتعلقة بالجمال والتجميل، منها كونه حقاً من حقوق الإنسان، ومحاولة تقنين الجمال، مع بيان كونه فتنة للبشر، ثم ذكر معظم مواقع الجمال في ظاهر جسد الإنسان مع ملحق بأهمية الجمال الروحي وتقديمه على الجمال الجسدي.
أما أهم ما جاء به الكتاب هو أدلة التجميل في السّنة والإجماع والعقل، وأدلة الجواز والمنع ومسائل فقهية أخرى متعلقة بالجمال والتجميل...
