نديم غورسيل كاتب تركي ولد عام 1951, بعد تخرجه من المدرسة الثانوية درس في السوربون تخرج من السوربون فرع "الأدب الفرنسي الحديث" عام 1974, وفي عام 1979 حصّل شهادة دكتوراه في الأدب المقارن بعد الانتهاء من أطروحة عن لويس أراغون وناظم حكمت.
في عام 1977 تلقي غورسيل أعلى جائزة أدبية في تركيا، هي جائزة أكاديمية اللغة التركية.

إنها قصة كاتب مغترب، قضى غربته يلوك ذكرياته القديمة في وطنه، ويترقب من بعيد أحداثاً لا يستطيع أن يكون بأي شكل واحداً من أبطالها. في كل ترحال له، وفي كل محطة يقف فيها منتظراً، يتمنى أن يكون الترام الذي ينتظره هو الأخير. "بعد قليل، سيزول عنه الهم، سيجلس الى طاولته محاولاً الكتابة، في غرفته، حيث لا أثر لوطنه ولا لماضيه، ولا حتى لنكهة العذاب الذاتي الذي يحس به ككاتب في المنفى. في هذه الغرفة سيضاجع الكلمات حتى الصباح، ولعل هذا هو الشيء الوحيد الذي يمارسه بنجاح منذ أن وطئ هذه المدينة".ـ الأيام تمر وتتفكك، بينما أمه يأكلها الانتظار، والوجه المعلق على الحائط يتلاشى رويداً رويداً، ويتحول الى وجه بلا هوية، الى انسان غارق في غربته.ـ
