هذا كتاب نافع إن شاء الله تعالى، مجموع من الفضائل لسيدنا أبي بكر الصديق خليفة رسول الله ج، وأول الخلفاء الراشدين، وأول من آمن من الرجال، وثاني أثنين إذ هما في الغار، t وعن الصحابة أجمعين ولا ريب أننا في هذا الكتاب سنجمع الكثير من الفضائل والمناقب لهذا الصحابي الجليل، ثم ما له من أخبار وأحوال على عهد رسول الله ج، وما بعده وحتى وفاته t ثم أقواله وخطبه ومكاتبته ووفاته وكنا فيما مضى قد ألفنا كتاباً جامعاً في أخبار الصحابة وعددهم ستة وعشرون ومائة واستثنينا الخلفاء الأربعة فإن لكل واحدٍ منهم أحببنا أن يكون له كتاب مستقل بذاته وها أنا أضيف هذا الكتاب لسيدنا أبي بكر الصديق وأسميته –السابق إلى التصديق أبو بكر الصديق t- وقد كان كذلك t وأرضاه. والله أسأله بمنَّه وكرمه التوفيق والسداد والحمد لله أولاً وآخراً. المعتصم بالله أبي الحسن تركي بن الحسن الدهماني
