يعتبر عبد الكبير الخطيبي، روائيا مغربيا وعالم اجتماع، وشاعرا وأخصائيا بالأدب المغاربي.
ولد بمدينة الجديدة سنة 1938، وتوفي في الساعات الأولى من صباح يوم الإثنين 16 مارس 2009 في أحد المستشفيات بالرباط، عن عمر يناهز 71 عاما، بعد معاناة مع المرض.

يتناول الكتاب قضيه التسامح ، فهو ليس فقط التزامًا أخلاقيًّا؛ وإنما هو أيضًا ضروره سياسيه وقانونيه. والتسامح فضيله وممارسه تجعل السلم ممكنًا بين الشعوب. أما المثقف العربى فإنه يشكل حيزًا بين الثقافه والعولمه، وقد أصبح قادرًا على إدراك الظاهره الدوليه«اللاتموقع»، وهو بذلك يحتاج لاستراتيجيه مزدوجه؛ بمعنى أن يحافظ على استقلاليه فكره، ومن ناحيه أخرى يتحاور مع المختصين الذين يصنعون الرأى العام العالمى.
