ينطوي على مسرحية شعرية ذات مقدمة وواحد وثلاثين مشهداً، تروي قصة الحروب الصليبية وأحقادها على العرب والمسلمين واحتلالهم بعض البلدان العربية، وغزوهم لمقدساتها، وتدميرهم لحضارتها، وكيف قاوم العرب المسلمون الغزو الصليبي، وأسروا أميرةً من مقاتلاتهم، انضمت إلى غيرها من الأسيرات معززة مكرمة، وأدركت حسن أخلاق المسلمين وطيب معاملتهم فأسلمت، وتزوجها قائد عربي، فرغبت إليه أن يسمح لها بزيارة أهلها، فأكرمها بذلك، وقد حملت منه. وعند اطلاع أهلها على إسلامها نفوها إلى رومة، واضطهدوها، وولدت عندهم، فلفقوا لها الكذب والجنون، وربوا ابنها من القائد العربي تربية صليبية جعلت منه قائداً لحملتهم على الشرق، واسمه عرنوس، وقد حمَّلته أمه أيقونةً كانت أُهديتها من زوجها العربي. ويفتك عرنوس بأبطال المسلمين، فينبري له إسماعيل، القائد العربي، ويمتلكه حبه دون أن يدري أنه ابنه، فيقاتله ويحتال لأسره دون قتله، فيتمكن منه، ويرى الأيقونة في صدره، فيعلم أنه ابنه من الأميرة. وتتكشف الحقائق وينضم الابن إلى أبيه العربي مقاتلاً في جيش المحبة والسلام والدفاع عن الإسلام، وتنهار الأكاذيب والأباطيل.
