روائي مصرى يميل إلى الفكر اليسارى ومن الكتاب المثيرين للجدل وخصوصاً بعد رفضه استلام جائزة الرواية العربية عام 2003 والتي يمنحها المجلس الأعلى للثقافة.
سُجن أكثر من خمس سنوات من 1959 إلى 1964 وذلك في سياق حملة شنّها جمال عبد الناصر ضدّ اليسار.
تتميز أعمال صنع الله إبراهيم الأدبية بصلتها الوثيقة التشابك مع سيرته من جهة، ومع تاريخ مصر السياسي من جهة أخرى.
من أشهر روايات صنع الله إبراهيم رواية "اللجنة" التي نشرت عام 1981، وهي هجاء ساخر لسياسة الانفتاح التي أنتُهجت في عهد السادات.
صوّر صنع الله إبراهيم أيضاً الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية في روايته "بيروت بيروت" الصادرة سنة 1984.
اختيرت روايته شرف كثالث أفضل رواية عربية حسب تصنيف اتحاد الكتاب العرب حصل صنع الله إبراهيم على جائزة ابن رشد للفكر الحر عام 2004.
من أعماله : رواياته: اللجنة نجمة أغسطس بيروت بيروت ذات شرف وردة أمريكانلي التلصص العمامة والقبعة القانون الفرنسي الجليد قصصه القصيرة: تلك الرائحة بالإضافة إلى سيرته الذاتية مذكرات سجن الواحات.
كرمه الملك قابوس عن روايته ورده وهي رواية رائعة تحكي عن الثورات العربية الاشتراكية وبالاخص عن محاولة جمهرة السلطنه العمانيه في حقبة الستينات عن طريق مجموعة من الثوار المصريين واليمنيين واللبنايين وقد لاقت الرواية قبولا في الاوساط الثقافية المصرية واللبنانية والخليجية.
يعد صنع الله ابراهيم أحد أكبر الروائيين المصريين الذين يتمكنون من السرد والحكي ويميل أسلوبه الي ماركيز إلا أن صنع الله ابراهيم يعد أقدم من ماركيز ككاتب ويتحتم علي القارئ ان يضع تركيزه كاملا في رواياته حتي لا تهرب منه أحد خيوط الرواية
