هل مجرد تذييل النص الإبداعي باسم إمرأة يعني أنه نص نسوي؟ لكن الأمر هنا ربما يحتاج إلى توضيح معنى المصطلح ذاته. ماذا نقصد بالنسوي؟ وهل النسوي هو المضاد للأبوي؟ إذن هل يستوي مصطلح نسوي مع مصطلح أمومي؟ وإذا كان هناك كتابة نسوية فهل هناك كتابة ذكورية؟ وما هو النقد النسوي؟ هل يشكل مدرسة قائمة بذاتها؟ أسئلة كثيرة لازالت تشكل البداية لأي نقاش حول الفكر النسوي، وهي أسئلة لا يؤدي طرحها- في الدوائر الأدبية والثقافة العربية- إلأى توليد أسئلة جديدة. فالذهنية العربية الثقافية أثبتت أنها بناء مصمت ومحصن ضد كل ما هو يمثل أدنى إمكانية للتغيير (ولا تختلف الذهنية السياسية كثيراً). فالتغيير يعني فيما يعني إعادة صياغة، وهي إعادة تستلزم تغيير علاقات القوى والمقصود ليس محاولة تمكين النساء على حساب الرجل، فهذا طرح ساذج بدائي لا يغير من الأمر شيئاً. المقصود هو إعادة التوازن لهذه العلاقات. علاقات القوى. في كل مرة أتناول فيها موضوع النقد النسوي بالكتابة، أحتاج إلى هذه المقدمة لعل النقاش يولد أسئلة جديدة تساعد على بلورة الرؤى والمواقف.
