في زمن بعيد، حين كان البرتغاليون يستعمرون مدينة الجديدة، وكان جنودهم يعيثون في الأرض فساداً ظهرت امرأة تسمى عائشة، فاتنة الجمال.. أغوت البرتغاليين بقدها المائس وعينيها الفاتنتين.. كانت تلتحف على عادة ذلك الزمان رداءً أبيض، لا يظهر منها إلا جزء من وجهها وخاصة عيناها.. وكلما تحرش بها جندي، استجابت له بغنج وتدلل، يتبعها الجندي، تختلي به، وحين يهم أن يقضي منها وطره، كانت تستل جنجراً تغرسه بين ضلوعه.. شاع خبر المرأة عائشة التي أطلق عليها البرتغاليون "الكشيتيسة" نظراً لجمالها. وانتشر مع أخبارها الخوف منها، والرهبة من ذكرها.. فقد لاحظ الجنود ارتباط اهتمام أي جندي بها بالموت.. وأضحى اسم "عائشة الكشيسة" متداولاً على الألسن.. مر الزمان، رحل البرتغاليون إلى وطنهم.. فورث عنهم المغاربة بعض العيون الزرقاء والخوف من عائشة القديسة، وتحول اسمها إلى "عايشة قنديشة" وأصبحت تظهر على ضفاف البحر ليلاً، متلحفة بالبياض، تغوي الرجال فتسلب عقولهم، فيهيمون وراءها، وتصيبهم بالأذى.. ويتوهمون ظهورها لهم بوشاحها الناصع البياض، عايشة قنديشة تحضر بكل قوة.. كان كل ذلك حلماً.. الخدر يعود من جديد.. يسحبني نحو بئر سحيق لا قرار له..
