الحنين إلى رفقة إنسانية ظل يؤرقني ، و لازمني الأرق لمدة طويلة .. كلما تقدمت في السن شعرت بالحاجة القصوى إلى رفيق يشاركني أحلامي و طموحاتي و هواجسي .. لم تغرني رفقة أحد من أبناء المملكة ، لقد كانوا ينافقونني ، و لا أشعر أبدا بالصدق في حديثهم .. كانوا يعاملونني كملكهم المستقبلي ، أو على الأقل كأبن ملك ، و هذا ما ضاعف حسرتي ، و جعلني أكتفي بوحدتي ، حتى "أودجاك" حصاني الذي اكتفيت بصحبته زمنا طويلا ، لم يعد يلبي رغبتي في البوح و المشاركة .. أقتنعت أخيرا أنه مجرد حيوان ، حتى و إن كان يمتلك الكثير من المزايا ، التي تخفف عن نفسي كلما داهمها التوتر أو الضيق
