في هذا الكتاب يروي ثلاثة مؤرخين سريان مشاهداتهم ومتابعاتهم للحملات الصليبية التي اكتسحت من بين ما اكتسحت من أصقاع الشرق ، بلادهم ومدنهم وقراهم ، ويسردون بلغتهم السرياتية، التي هي لهجة من اللهجات الآرامية ، قصصاً وروايات عما جرى لتلك الاقوام القاطنة ما بين شمال بلاد الشام وأعالي بلاد ما بين النهرين ، وقد وجدت نفسها بوضعها الهش وامكانياتها الضعيفة ، واقعة بين جحافل المتحاربين بعداوة وضراوة منقطعتي النظير وقد وضع هؤلاء نصوصاً أصلية غير منشورة سابقاً ، يقدمون من خلالها رؤية مختلفة واكثر موضوعية لمجريات الاحداث في تلك الحقبة المصيرية ، وذلك من منطلق يروم احقاق العدل وتبيان الحقيقة ، وهي سرديات تختلف من وجوه كثيرة عن الحوليات اللاتينية والبيزنطية والعربية كما يتطرق هؤلاء المؤرخون لحقبة تاريخية شديدة الاضطراب دينياً ودنيوياً ، وزاخرة بالشهادات عن احداث جسام كان مسرحها تركيا وارمينيا وسوريا وفلسطين ومصر مابين القرن الحادي عشر والقرن الثالث عشر للميلاد ، وهي احداث لا تزال اصداؤها تتردد بتوتر وانفعال شديدين في مصائر المنطقة واراء شعوبها حتى يومنا هذا قسم الكتاب الى ستة اقسام :- الاول : تاسيس الدول اللاتينية في الشرق الادنى . الثاني : الفرنجة والاتراك : السلاجقة الارتقيون والدانشمنديون . الثالث : الفرنجة والسلالة الزنكية . الرابع : الفرنجة والكرديان شيركوه وصلاح الدين . الخامس : الفرنجة ودولة الايوبيين الكردية . السادس : الفرنجة
