أقبل نيسان بأزهاره العطرة زاخراً بالحمية، منتشياً رحت أنظر إلى الأوراق وهي تتدافع على الأشجار.
أشجار الرمان تتزين بزهور من لون الياقوت وأشجار المشمش والخوخ ترتدي من جديد أثوابها الزاهية كما لو كانت في عيد.
الأعشاب تخضرٌ بفرح.
تحت الشمس الحنونة تتفتح الورود الذهبية على حافة السواقي.
الطيور تتقافز مغردةً وهي تتبادل إشارات الغرام.
كان يغمرني شعور بخفة سعيدة وحب الطبيعة كان يقودني إلى أحلام ناعمة.
كان هناك أحياناً عواصف مدوّية تنزل من أعالي الجبائل ولكنها لم تكن لتخيفني.
كنتُ ابن المطر وقوس قزح.
في الربيع كان والدي يذهب إلى الحقل يومياً وكان غالباً ما يأخذني معه كي يعلمني كيف تُزرع البطاطا والباذنجان، كنت أنظر إليه وهو يعمل طافحاً بكثير من الأمل والحماسة راغباً في نقل مشاعره إليّ.
كنت أفرح لرؤية حبّات الحمص الصغيرة والبصل والثوم مما كان يزّين الوجبات اليومية.
كنت أساعد الوالد أيضاً في تنظيف السواقي وكنت ألعب بالماء جذلاً.
