أنا ابنة الرماد، ولدت في العاشر من شباط عام 1985، وضعتني أمي في بيت جدي في القرية فجر يوم مثلج لكن اسمي ليس بيضاء الثلج بل رحيل. لم تكن أمي تريد وضعي في العاصمة التي كانت يومذاك تغلي بحمم الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية فانتقلت إلى القرية مؤقتا لتضعني في بيت جدي، لم تختر أمي اسمي بل أبي فعل، وكأنه بهذا الاسم كتب علي الترحال الأبدي بين محطات وطرق متشعبة لا تنتهي أبدا، وكتب الرحيل على كل من أحببت. كان مشوار حياتي الذي يكاد يبلغ الثلاثين عبارة عن محطات زمنية هلامية الخطوات، تختلف كل محطة عن سابقتها بالشخصيات والأحداث وتتشابه جميعها بسوء الحظ والغرق أكثر في تيه الطرق الوعرة، كنت عند منعطف كل نهاية الملم ما تبقى من رمادي وانتقل بإحباط منهك إلى محطة جديدة حتى أصبحت ظلا لا كنية له، لا شجرة عائلية لي أتظلل بفيئها عندما تحطمني خيبات الحياة، حتى ذكرياتي مع الأموات غير مشجعة، غير مستفزة لذاكرتي التي تفضل عدم فتح هذا الباب الذي لا يدخل منه سوى مزيدٍ من المرارة، وبين رماد من رحلوا وذكرياتهم أصبحت يتيمة، لا أحد يشاركني دمي وجيناتي إلا رماد الأموات، أصبحت ابنة للرماد وحسب.
