صدرت مؤخرا الرواية الاولى للكاتبة عبير سليمان بعنوان "صليب الحب وسياسة القرآن" التي تقول عن روايتها انها "نبتت فى ارض خصبة تشبهه او ربما تطابق ارضنا ... فهى نسيج مختلط بين الواقع والحلم الطموح للإنسانية .." وتدور الرواية حول "على" الذي يجسد ادراك دهر من الزمان عاش فينا ونمى وردم عليه غبار التخلف والقمع و"إيمان" تلك الراهبة الطاهرة التى تجلى حب الرب فى قلبها فذهب بها إلى افق تستشعر فيض الحب. وتوضح الكاتبة انها حاولت صنع جسر تواصل واتساق بين رواعة العبادة ونقائها وحكمة نصوصها التى تحث على تهذيب المناهج الإنسانية وبين حرية الإنسان وقدرته على الاختيار وهو فى قمة الإيمان دون الاحتياج إلى الكفر.
