يتناول هذا الكتاب الالتزام المدني إذا نشأ في ذمة الشخص بفعل مصدر من المصادر فإنه يولد أثراً قانونياً وأول هذه الآثار تنفيذ الالتزام طبقا لما اشتمل عليه وتنفيذ الالتزام من المدين لابد أن يقوم به المدين طوعاً وبمضي إراداته واختياره وضمن المدة المحددة كذلك وبحسن نية ثم يورد إلى شروط هذا التنفيذ أن يكون التنفيذ العيني ممكنا وألا يكون فيه إرهاق للمدين وأن يطالب الدائن بالتنفيذ العيني وان لا يكون في التنفيذ العيني ماس بحرية المدين الشخصية ثم يشير إلى أسلوب التنفيذ العيني الجبري عند توافر شروط وطرق الحصول على تنفيذ العيني كالإكراه البدني والتهديد المالي ثم ينتقل إلى تنفيذ الإلزام بطريق التعويض القضائي أو الاتفاقي أو القانوني وفي الفصل الثالث يعدد ضمانات التنفيذ منها الدعوى غير المباشرة ودعوى عدم نفاذ التصرف ودعوى الصورية والحجر على المدين المعسر والحق في الحبس للضمان والدفع بعدم التنفيذ ثم يلفي الضوء على أوصاف الالتزام وهي الشرط والأجل وتعدد محل الالتزام وتعدد أطراف الالتزام ويتناول في الباب الثالث انتقال الالتزام كحواله الدين وحواله الحق مشير إلى انقضاء والإلزام بالوفاء مبيناً طرفي الوفاء ومحلها وظروفها ثم يوضح انتقاد الالتزام بما يعادل الوفاء كالوفاء بالمقابل والتجديد والمقاصة واتحاد الذمة وأخيراً انقضاء الالتزام دون وفاء ولا بما يعادل الوفاء كالإبراء واستحالة التنفيذ والتقادم.
