وبعد فلقد سبق لنا إصدار مجموعة دروس في عقد البيع عام 1985 ضمناها خلاصة ما ألقيناه من محاضرات على طلاب كلية الحقوق في مادة العقود المسماة. وقد توخينا في هذه الدروس الإيجاز مع الوضوح، إيجاز يفي بحاجة الطالب المبتدىء، ووضح فيه الكفاية لجلاء ما قد يعتور هذه المادة من غموض في بعض الأحيان. هذا وقد هيأ لنا المولى سبحانه عز وجل الوقت لإعادة النظر في هذه الدروس، فقمنا بمراجعة ما كتبناه واستكملنا ما كنا قد أجلناه لضيق الوقت. فظهر يحدث هذا الكتاب عن عقد البيع متضمنا شرحا لمواد هذا العقد في التقنين المدني المصري، مذيىلاً بهوامش تتضمن أحكام محكمة النقض المصرية حتى يكون للنص القانوني مجالا في التطبيق العملي لزيادة الإيضاح ولبيان ما قد يكون للقضاء من ملاحظات على النصوص التشريعية، يمكن الإستفادة منها إذا ما رؤى تعديل التشريع القائم. فصدرت الطبعة الأولى من هذا المؤلف عام 1990. وفي الطبعة الثانية الحالية تم إكمال هذا المؤلف بأحدث الأحكام الصادرة عن محكمة النقض حتى عام 1998، كما اشتملت هذه الطبعة على ما استحدثه قانون التجارة الجديدة من أحكام تتعلق بموضوعات هذا المؤلف.
