من أهم المتون المنظومة في علم النحو وقواعد اللغة " ألفية ابن مالك " التي تزيد أبياتها على الألف، وقد تلقاها العلماء بالقبول حفظا وشرحا، حتى بلغت شروحها 127 شرحا، من أهمها شرح العلامة ابن عقيل بل هو أكثرها انتشارا وقد شرح الأبيات وحل ألغازها بضرب الأمثلة، ونقل الشواهد الشعرية والنثرية، وبيان مذاهب النحويين من كوفيين وبصريين وغيرهم مرجحا بينها . وكل ذلك بين الإيجاز والتطويل من أهم المتون المنظومة في علم النحو وقواعد اللغة " ألفية ابن مالك " التي تزيد أبياتها على الألف، وقد تلقاها العلماء بالقبول حفظا وشرحا، حتى بلغت شروحها 127 شرحا، من أهمها شرح العلامة ابن عقيل بل هو أكثرها انتشارا وقد شرح الأبيات وحل ألغازها بضرب الأمثلة، ونقل الشواهد الشعرية والنثرية، وبيان مذاهب النحويين من كوفيين وبصريين وغيرهم مرجحا بينها . وكل ذلك بين الإيجاز والتطويل وقد نقلت في الهامش شروح للشواهد الشعرية وإعرابها، وزود الكتاب في آخره بفهارس علمية عامة .
