قال الحاخام سلانيكلى ساخراً: "أنت مقدم للمحاكمة".
-"لكنكم تمزحون مزاحاً ثقيلاً لا يليق بكم ولا يليق بى"
-"زعمت أنك تطمع فى تحويلنا عن ديانتنا إلى المسيحية أتقر بذلك؟"
قال الباردى وأمارات الألم ترتسم على وجهه وفى عينيه "نحن لا نسوق الناس سوقاً إلى بابه وحرية الاختيار للجميع وصاحب كل دين، أى دين، يدعو الناس للهداية بطريقته السليمة هكذا مرنا السيد المسيح".
وضحك الرجال فى هستيرية وقال داود: "حسناً إن ديننا يأمرنا بأن نسفك دمك، أترانا نطيعه أم نخالفه؟؟"
قال البادرى وقد دق قلبه بعنف: "أنك تمزح يا داود"
أخرج الحاخام سلانيكلى كتاباً صغيراً من جيبه ثم قال: "إذن فلنقرأ كلمات التلمود عن الفطير المقدس المعجون بدم مسيحى.. لنقرأ معاً..".
