السوبر معلوماتية تدرس الأكوان الممكنة والمستحيلة في آن معاً. وبذلك تبحث في الممكنات والمستحيلات كافة. وبما أن السوبر حداثة تدرس الأكوان الممكنة، إذن السوبر معلوماتية تتضمن السوبر حداثة لكنها تزيد عليها كون السوبر معلوماتية تدرس الأكوان المستحيلة أيضاً بينما السوبر حداثة تعنى فقط بالأكوان الممكنة. هكذا السوبر معلوماتية تؤدي إلى السوبر حداثة، لكن السوبر معلوماتية تتضمن ميدان بحث جديد ألا وهو علم الأفكار المستحيلة. فالسوبر معلوماتية تعنى أيضاً ببناء النظريات المستحيلة الصادقة في الأكوان المستحيلة. وبذلك تهدف السوبر معلوماتية إلى وصف الأكوان المستحيلة والكشف عن قوانينها وحقائقها. من جهة أخرى، السوبر معلوماتية هي ميدان خلق المعلومات كافة (الممكنة والمستحيلة) بينما المعلوماتية هي دراسة للمعلومات الموجودة لدينا وكيفية حفظها والتحكم فيها. هكذا تختلف السوبر معلوماتية عن المعلوماتية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، من فضائل السوبر معلوماتية: أولاً: إنها تزيد المعلومات إلى أقصى حد بما أنها تدرس كل الممكنات والمستحيلات، وزيادة المعلومات فضيلة. ثانياً: بما أن الممكنات والمستحيلات لامتناهية، وبما أن السوبر معلوماتية تدرس الممكنات والمستحيلات كافة، إذن تضمن السوبر معلوماتية استمرار البحث العلمي والمعرفين واستمرار البحث فضيلة. ثالثاً: بما أن السوبر معلوماتية تدرس الأكوان الممكنة، وبعض من الأكوان الممكنة شبيهة جداً بعالمنا، إذن قد تصل السوبر معلوماتية إلى معارف مفيدة وصادقة في عالمنا، وهذه فضيلة أخرى. رابعاً: بما أن السوبر معلوماتية تدرس الأكوان المستحيلة، إذن هي تفتح ميداناً معرفياً جديداً، وهذه فضيلة بحد ذاتها. فالسوبر معلوماتية بكونها دراسة للمستحيلات تحاول أن تقدم ما هو جديد في البحث المعرفي من خلال اعتبارها أن المستحيلات تشكل حقلاً معرفياً أي حقلاً قابلاً للبحث والدراسة. وهذا ما يسعى لتقديمه هذا الكتاب والذي حمل عنوان "لسوبر معلوماتية وعلم الأفكار المستحيلة".
