بدءاً بأول صفحة من مجموعتها الشعرية "ضبابية متعمدة في كاميرا المحمول" تخفق نصوص الشاعرة هدى المبارك بحزن شفاف يمور بتأن عبر السطور وهي تخاطب والدها بمسحة من العتاب الخجول تنفذ من خلاله إلى عالم الشعر بغنائية حالمة نقرأ فيها:
"هل قضيت ليلةً واقفاً فيها على قدميك؟ حتى اشتعل.. رأسك مع نفسِ الصباح الأول؟ هل عبرت الأرصفة باحثاً عن ظلٍ يطابق ُحُزنك؟ عن كف ندية تداعبك، عن شفتين تطبعان تذكرة سعادة مؤقتة على جبينك؟! تتمتم ُ بعدها: حمداً لله لـ ابنتي هدى!
أما الآن يا أبي، أسيرُ بين الطرقات، أرنو، من النوافذ شبه المكسرة، ألتقط صوراً لأناسٍ تحت أسقفٍ غريبة، وبين جدرانٍ باردة.. ينامون جياعاً، ويصبحون بالألم حدَّ الامتلاء.
أما أنا.. فلا أنامُ إلا متخمةٌ وحدة، هزيلةُ شوق، منتظرة دوري، بين المعذبين على الأرض! لـ روحكَ التي تحدثني شِعراً، علّها تنتشلُ وجعنا..".
بهذه الشاعرية تتدفق نصوص المجموعة، عبر لغة جميلة ومزاحة، استطاعت الشاعرة من خلالها اختزال الكثير من العبارات التي تحمل مشاعر إنسانية سامية، مع فسحة من الرومانسية التي تتخطى إطار الواقع نحو تأطير الذات والبحث عن مكامن الفرح من خلال كوة صغيرة: "أرغب أن أكتب سعادةً/ أوراقي - دون العالمين-/ تعد حداداً مؤجلاً". إن استدراك هذه العلاقة الحميمة بالشعر عند هدى المبارك تنطبق عليها مقولة أندريه بريتون في الجمال حين يقول (الجمال إما أن يكون تشنيجاً أو لا يكون) وتبقى النصوص الأخرى مكملة للحال الشعري في بنيان هذه المجموعة المتفردة في الشكل والمضمون.
تضم المجموعة مايزيد عن أربعون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "أحبك كما كنت وأكثر"، "جنة عليا"، "2011"، "صبراً يعقوبي"، "أحمر شفاه"، "الظل"، "القدر الطيب"، "سقوط شرقي"، "عطر الرسائل" (...) وقصائد أخرى.
