"عندما لا نحب لا نعرف أن نمارس أي عمل ولا نستسيغ أي عمل نقوم به، الحب هو الذي - أحياناً - يخرجنا من دائرة الظلام إلى دائرة النور ولذلك وهم أنثى هي العواطف التي أحياناً أهرب إليها لأجد نفسي دون أي سؤال؟". هكذا تريد هدى الخويري لإيقاع كلماتها أن تضطلع بمهمة تقديم جديدها الشعري "وهم أنثى" لتقوله ترنيمة عشق أبدية ضاجة بمعاني الحب الآسر؛ وقد كتبت سطورها بكلام مغمور بالشفافية والتوهج، وبإحالات باطنية تشد صوراً متتابعة للتعبير عن ذات أنثوية لها عوالمها الخاصة؛ وقد خرجت بها الشاعرة إلى فضاء الوعي الشعري، بلغٍة مشحونة بالدلالات الحميمة. وكي نقف على شاعرية هدى الخويري وعلى عاطفتها المتدفقة يكفي أن نقرأ قصيدة لها بعنوان "الوجع" تقول فيها: "أعترف…!/ بأنه لا أحد يزاحمك في داخلي إلا أنت،/ ولا أحد يحتل مكانك سواك،/ ولا أحد يفترش مشاعري غيرك!/ وأعترف أني لا أعرف مكانتي عندك،/ ولا أعرف ما أنا لك…/ ليتني أستطيع أتسلل إلى داخلك؛ لأجدني فيك وأستقر./ وليتني أعرف ما المدى الذي تضعني فيه!/ وليتني أعرف هل أنا مستحوذة على شغاف فؤادك أم لا!/ أعترف،/ أنك أوجعتني بما يكفي؟/ وأنك باق كما أنت في داخلي وإن لم نلتق!/ فقط، كن بخير وابتسم - كما قلت لك - وسأنظر لك حيث سكنت في أعماقي". بهذه اللغة المشحونة بالعتب والحنين والماضي والذكريات ترسل الشاعرة هجيع أحزانها، إلى حبيبٍ افتقدته ورغم ذلك سكن أعماقها؛ مجاهرة بالداخل موظفة ضمير المتكلم في بث رسائل الذات والتحليق بها بعيداً في فضاء الشعر. تضم المجموعة "وهم أنثى" عشرون نصاً نثرياً جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "هذيان"، "بقايا"، "رحلة"، "وهم"، "إحتراقات"، "زوايا"، "اختيار"، "نسيان"، "صمت"، "أنثى"، "اعترافات"، "حكايات"، "شبه"، "حقيقة"، "دفء الحب"، "لحظة فرح"، "الغياب"، "الوجع" و"نكهة أخرى".
