Book Description
ميسون وأمان طفلتان تبلغان من العمر اثنتي عشر عاماً وتدرسان معاً في صف واحد.ميسون تعيش في منزل متواضع مع أمها التي تعمل في حياكة القطن وصناعة أجمل الثياب والألعاب. أما صديقتها أمان فتعيش في منزل فخم وتملك أجمل الثياب ودمية جميلة شقراء. وفي أحد الأيام دعت أمان ميسون والصديقات للاحتفال بعيد ميلادها، وإطفاء شمعاتها الأثنتي عشر.
عندما انتهى الاحتفال لم يكن يشغل بال ميسون سوى ذلك المنزل الفخم والفستان ذي اللون المخملي الأحمر الذي ارتدته أمان، والدمية الشقراء وهي تتمنى أن تكون مكان صديقتها.
في الحفل تُعجب والدة أمان بالثوب القطني الذي ارتدته ميسون والحقيبة القطنية التي قدّمتها لأمان كهدية في عيد ميلادها، فقررت الاتصال بوالدة الأخيرة والتعبير عن رغبتها في شراء عددٍ منها لصديقاتها الأجنبيات لأنه عملٌ فنّيٌّ فائقُ الإتقانِ والجمالِ.تُخبر والدة ميسون والدة أمان أنها هي من حاكت الثوب لابنتها والحقيبة لأمان، وتعد بتلبية رغبة والدة أمان بعد موعد حصاد القطن القادم.على إثر ذلك تنشأ صداقة بين العائلتين وتقضي الفتاتان أجمل الأوقات في مكان يسمى أرض الذهب الأبيض، وهو بستان القطن الذي يشبه "غزل البنات"، حيث لعبت ميسون وأمان معاً في حقل القطن وساعدتا العمال في القطاف، على أمل اللقاء مرة أخرى.
ولكن هل ستبقى الأمور على حالها؛ أم سيحصل ما لم يكن بالحسبان؟ وبمعرفته ستُدرك ميسون أن ما تملكه هي أثمن بكثير مما تملكه أمان!!«ميسون والدميةُ من القطن» قصة تربوية تُعلّم الأولاد في سن (10 – 13) أهمية الصداقة والتعاون والقناعة والرضى ووجوب عدم النظر إلى ما بيد الغير، وأن كل واحد منهم يملك شيئاً، قد لا يقدّر بثمن.
