جودت يوسف نورالدين (لبنان).
ولد عام 1936 في جنوب لبنان.
تخرج في دار المعلمين ببيروت سنة 1955, ثم حصل على الإجازة في علم النفس من جامعة ليون بفرنسا 1961, والإجازة في العلوم الاجتماعية من الجامعة اللبنانية 1963.
عمل سبع سنوات في حقل التعليم ودخل السلك الدبلوماسي اللبناني عام 1963, ورقي عام 1980 إلى درجة سفير حيث عمل في الجابون, وسيراليون, وإيران, وهنجاريا حيث يقيم.
يتقن العربية والفرنسية ويحسن الإنجليزية.

في اللغة أن «العَلَم» هو المنار. وهو أيضاً العَلاَمة. وهو أيضاً الجبل، وجمعه أعلام وعِلام .وعـَلَمُ الثوب رسمُه أو رقمه على أطرافه. والعلم الراية التي يجتمع إليها الجند أو الناس، وقيل وهو الذي يُعقد على الرمح. وأعلام القوم ساداتهم . وفي اللغة أيضاً أن اسم العلم يميّز واحداً دون آخر من أفراد جنسه…
…وإن معظم هذه المعاني متوفر في الرجال الخمسة الذين تتناولهم هذه الدراسة، وهم (حسب ترتيب تواريخ وفاتهم): 1- العلّامة الشيخ محمد خليل دبوق (1850-1899)؛ 2- العلّامة السيد حسن محمود الأمين (1881-1949)؛ 3- الزعيم/ العميد محمد جواد الحاج حسن دبوق (1899-1976)؛ 4- الشاعر السيد حسين علي نورالدين (1895-1977)؛ 5- العلاّمة الشيخ محمد جواد الحاج أحمد شري (1915-1994).
أما سَدى اختياري إياهم فكونهم رجال فكر وأدب وشعر تجاوزت شهرتهم حدود منطقتهم إلى فضاءات واسعة، ولعبوا أدواراً اجتماعية أو سياسية معينة؛ فيما لُحمة هذا الاختيار أنهم من قريتي، قرية «خربة سلم» الواقعة في قلب الجنوب اللبناني في أقصى الشمال من قضاء بنت جبيل
