".. إنّ الحبّ لا منطقَ له، وإنّ الحياة أجملُ من أن تُبدَّدَ بالهروب من النفْس، وإنّ السعادة كنزٌ يَفْنى إنْ لم نَغرفْ منه، وإنّ الناس كاذبون جبناء في أغلب الوقت، وإنّنا حطّمنا جدرانَ خوفنا بأبهى طريقة، وإنّ الثورة الحقيقيّة هي الثورةُ على النفس، وإنّ الله ـ إنْ وُجد ـ فهو معنا، وإنْ لا شياطينَ إلّا في رؤوس مَن يبحثون عنها، وإنّ أجمل المخلوقات الأنثى، وإنّ اكتمالها بالرجل لا ينقصُ من جمالها أيَّ شيء. وعرفتُ لاحقًا أنّ الحياة تكون لئيمةً أحيانًا، وأنّ أرقى النظريّات حول الوجود والكون هي ما تقوله العصافيرُ والفراشاتُ والأرانبُ والزنابقُ والينابيعُ واليعاسيبُ وبناتُ آوى وقوسُ قزح، وأنّ الأديان بدعة بشريّة الربُّ منها براءٌ براءةَ الذئب من دم يوسف؛ وإلّا فما الحكمة من موت فيدرين بعد أيّام قليلة بهذا الشكل السخيف، وهي تعْبر الطريق، فتصدمها سيّارةٌ سوداء يقودُها أعمى بصيرةٍ، يماثل سوادُها سوادَ عالمي الذي أقبع اليوم فيه؟! ما معنى أن يموت المرء قبل ساعات قليلة من امتحانٍ حضّر طويلًا له؟! .. "
