يقدّم المؤلّف دراسة معاصرة لعملية الاجتهاد في نصوص التنزيل الحكيم، انطلاقاً من نسخ كل الاجتهادات الإنسانية السابقة في تفصيل المحكم من هذه النصوص، وإعادة الاجتهاد فيه بروح معاصرة، بعيداً عن القراءة التراثية الأحادية الملزمة وراثياً. تلك القراءة التي أوقفت التاريخ وصيرورته عند لحظة معينة، ما جعل الثقافة العربية الإسلامية هشة ضعيفة يستحيل صمودها أمام ثقافات الدول الأخرى المتطورة إلا بممارسة العنف، من خلال قطع الرؤوس والرجم والجلد، لإثبات وجودها.
