في "مرايا فرانكنشتاين" يواصل الشاعر "عباس بيضون" حفرياته الفلسفية الصامتة في شؤون الحياة، عبر مسلمات الخطاب الساخر ليواجه أسئلة متدثرة بذكاء في غطاءٍ من النقد والتحليل، الذي يضع اليد على المفارقة بابتسامة لا تخفى سخريتها الماكرة. يقول "كنا نتحدث عن المتعة والحرية ولا نفعل شيئاً. من هذه الناحية كنا أشد نسكاً وتقوى من آبائنا وبالطبع اجدادنا، جدفنا بدون أي مقابل، في الواقع كنا أكثر حرماناً من فلاح بسيط. تركنا بالتدريج كل ما يملأ به الآخرون حياتهم. عشنا تقريباً بدون تسليات أو مناسبات أو أعياد أو احتفالات، هجرنا ذلك، أسعدنا أننا لم نعد مطالبين بشيء. كنا بالفعل محابيس في أقفاص من ورق وكلام هل جرنا إلى ذلك الكسل أم شيء آخر، المهم أننا كنا سعداء أو مكتفين بالأحرى...".
في مرايا فرانكنشتاين يكسر عباس بيضون جميع المرايا، ليبدو الواقع أكثر صدقاً وأعمق رؤية يعيد بها صياغة العالو في علاقة متعددة الاتجاهات جاءت عبر مكاشفة صريحة تتداخل وربما تتعارض أو تتقاطع فيها الرؤى والأحلام بين ذات الشاعر والعالم...
