قسم المؤلف مقالاته إلى ثلاثة أقسام: في التجربة العراقية، في التجربة العربية، في التجربة العالمية. يعرض في التجربة العراقية، لأعمال فنانين بارزين أمثال إسماعيل فتاح، شاكر حسن آل سعيد، وجبرا إبراهيم جبرا. أما في التجربة العربية فيعرض فيها لأعمال سامر الطباع، محمد مهر الدين، وعلي طالب. بينما ضم القسم الخاص بالتجربة العالمية مقالات عن متحف كونيكا، ورفائيل البرتي وترينالي النروج العالمي لفن الغرافيك 1995.
