هذا هو الكتاب الأوّل من مجموعة «ديوان الأساطير» التي تصدر تباعاً، وتتضمّن النصوص القديمة الأسطورية والبطولية الأدبيّة منذ بدايات الحضارة في كل من بلاد الرافدين والساحل الكنعاني ووادي النيل وغيرها من المراكز الحضارية في عالمنا، التي كشفت عنها التّنقيبات الأثريّة، وشغلت الباحثين في مختلف أنحاء العالم الغربي، ولا تزال تشغلهم منذ أكثر من قرن.
تشمل الكتب الأربعة الأولى النّصوص السّومرية والأكاديّة والآشوريّة. ويختصُّ هذا الكتاب الأوّل بنصوص الخصب والإخصاب، أو كما يقول الشعراء السومريون بـ«منيّ السماء» يخصب الأرض، وبـ«ماء القلب» يخصب الأرحام. وعن خصوبة البلاد وخصوبة المرأة، ينقل إلينا هذا الكتاب أجمل أناشيد الحب والجنس، ما يشكل مجموعة أمكن تسميتها «نشيد الأنشاد السّومري». وهذا مما اقتضى تضمينَ هذا الكتاب دراسةً هي الأولى من نوعها في اللغة العربية عن أصول نشيد الإنشاد التّوراتي.
إنّه مشروعٌ يقدّم إلى القارئ العربي ذخيرةً ثقافية فريدة جماليّاً ومعرفيّاً وتاريخيّاً.
