نديم غورسيل كاتب تركي ولد عام 1951, بعد تخرجه من المدرسة الثانوية درس في السوربون تخرج من السوربون فرع "الأدب الفرنسي الحديث" عام 1974, وفي عام 1979 حصّل شهادة دكتوراه في الأدب المقارن بعد الانتهاء من أطروحة عن لويس أراغون وناظم حكمت.
في عام 1977 تلقي غورسيل أعلى جائزة أدبية في تركيا، هي جائزة أكاديمية اللغة التركية.

"الرواية عبارة عن بيوغرافيا ناظم حكمت في برلين، حيث اقترحت شخصية غامضة على الكاتب موعداً لمقابلته في أحد مقاهيها ومنحه ملفاً مهماً عنه، يقرأ ناظم الملف فيغرف أن الأمر يتعلق بوثائق الشرطة السرية، عن حياته والتزاماته السياسية والإيديولوجية، حياة ذلك الشاعر المنفي في الاتحاد السوفييتي بعد أن عرف السجن في بلاده (تركيا). يعرف أن محاوره عميل للشرطة السرية، بألمانيا الديمقراطية، هذا الرجل غريب الأطوار والشيوعي ، محب لناظم وقضيته،
ففي استعادة لتاريخ برلين يفحص نديم غورسيل حياة ناظم ، هذه الشخصية الإشكالية، وتراجيديات القرن العشرين ويتذكر حبه القديم لمغنية تركية.
بين اسطنبول وموسكو وبرلين ، تجمع هذه الرواية كل ما يتبدى في نتاج غورسيل؛ حبه للمدن وآدابها، حبه لتركيا وتاريخها، حبه للتيه والشعر"
