يوري بونداريف: (مواليد 1924) الكاتب الروسي السوفييتي، الحائز على جائزة لينين عن الأعمال ذائعة الصيت عن الحرب الوطنية الكبرى (1941- 1945).
وإبتداءً من الروايتين القصيرتين "الكتائب تطلب النار" (1957) و "الطلقات الأخيرة" (1959) اللتين اعتمد فيهما على خبرته الشخصية تحظى موهبته بإعتراف من عامة الشعب.
لقد ذهب يوري بونداريف إلى الجبهة متطوعاً في عام 1941 وهو فتى في السابعة عشرة، واليوم لم تعد الحرب الوطنية الكبرى التي خاضها الشعب السوفييتي ضد الفاشية الهتلرية ذكرى وشيجة إلى قلب الكاتب فقط، بل صارت الموضوع الرئيسي لإبداعه.
وقد كتب يوري بونداريف يقول: "لقد حاولت إيجاد الملامح النموذجية للإنسان جيلي، الضابط الذي أخذ في وقت مبكر يحمل السلاح ويقود الناس ويتحمل المسؤولية عن مصائر إنسانية كثيرة".
والرواية القصيرة للكاتب الجبهوي المقاتل "الطلقات الأخيرة" مكرّسة لأحداث السنة الأخيرة من الحرب الوطنية الكبرى، عشية النصر، وأبطالها من عمر المؤلف، طلعوا إلى ميدان المعركة من مقاعد المدرسة، مثلما فعل هو.
