إن علم التوحيد هو أشرف العلوم وأعلاها قيمة، وأوسعها رحاباً، وأرفعها قدراً، فمن نهل من سلسالها العذب فقد أخذ بحظ وافر من الدنيا والآخرة. والحاجة إلى هذا العلم أولى الحاجات، وأهم الغايات، وأنبل المطلوبات. فهو دواء الأرواح وغذاؤها، به تكشف الجهالات، وتقال العثرات، من هذا المنطلق يأتي الاهتمام بهذا الكتاب "أساس التقديس في علم الكلام" الذي صنفه الإمام الرازي، أمام أهل زمانه، وأمام علوم العقل والكلام، الفصيح لسانه الصريح بيانه الذي بهر خصومه، وكان سيف السنة وسهم أهل الحق وكتابه أساس التقديس هذا، بَيِّنٌ صريح ينال طالب الحق فيه بغيته، وهو صاعقة على أهل البدع والأهواء، قسمه الإمام الرازي ضمن ثلاثة أقسام؛ كان القسم الأول منه في الدلائل على أنه تعالى منزّه عن الجسمية والحيّز، ودار القسم الثاني منه حول تأويل المتشابهات من الأخبار والآيات، وتمّ إفراد القسم الثاني منه للحديث عن تقرير مذهب السلف في مسائل شتى من مثل وصف القرآن بأنه محكم ومتشابه وفي تفاريع مذهب السلف في بقية الكلام، وفي أن المجسم هل يوصف بأنه مشبّه أم لا وفي أن من يثبت كونه تعالى جسماً متميزاً مختصاً بجهة معينة.
هذا ولأهمية هذا الكتاب تمّ الاعتناء به من حيث كشف ما غمض في نصوصه وذلك بتأثير الحشو والتحريف، والخلط والغلط في معانٍ كثيرة، ومبانٍ مثيرة، وألفاظ غريبة عن المؤلف ومؤلًّفه والتي أدخلت في الكتاب لمقاصد كثيرة. وقد جاء الكتاب في طبعته المحققة هذه، بما يليق بالمعاني الجليلة التي كتبها الشيخ الإمام الرازي، والدرر التي نثرها منذ مئات طويلة من السنين.
