طاهر الطناحي: أديبٌ وصحفيٌّ وشاعرٌ مِصري، أحدُ الأوائل الذين طوَّعوا الصحافةَ للأدب، فجعلوا من المادةِ الصحفيةِ حُلةً أدبيةً زاهرة.
وُلدَ طاهر بن أحمد الطناحي بدمياط عامَ ١٩٠٣م، والتحَقَ بمدرسةِ دارِ العلومِ بعد انتقالِه إلى القاهرة، وعَمِل بعد تخرُّجِه بمجلةِ «المُصوِّر»، ومجلة «كل شيء»، ثم التحَقَ ﺑ «دار الهلال» وعَمِل بها حتى وفاتِه.
اتصَلَ الطناحي بأُدباءِ عصرِه، مثلَ مصطفى لطفي المنفلوطي، وأحمد شوقي، وحافظ إبراهيم، وكان له جهودٌ كبيرةٌ في استكتابِ كبارِ الأدباءِ بمجلةِ دار الهلال.
كما كان له الفضلُ في نشرِ العديدِ من الكُتبِ لكبارِ الأُدباءِ والمفكرين بسلسلةِ «كتاب الهلال»، مثلَ العقاد، ومي زيادة، ومحمد عبده، وأحمد لطفي السيد، ومحمد علي علوبة، وجرجي زيدان.
وللطناحي عِدةُ مؤلَّفات، منها: «على ضفاف دجلة والفرات»، و«بين السيف والقلم»، وهما مجموعتانِ قصصيتانِ تُخلِّدانِ أمجادَ العرب، و«على فِراش الموت»، وهو تسجيلٌ للساعاتِ الأخيرةِ لكبارِ الأدباءِ والكُتابِ قبلَ الموت، و«حديقة الأدباء»، و«حياة مطران»، و«ساعات من حياتي».
تُوفِّي طاهر الطناحي عامَ ١٩٦٧م.

لقد كانت من أبعد النساء عن الاسترجال وأشدهن أنوثة، فكانت كل حاسة من حواسها وجارحة من جوارحها تنم عن ذكائها، فعيناها اللامعتان وتعبيرها الحار، ولطف إشاراتها وحسن حديثها، كل ذلك جعلها تؤثر في مستمعيها بحديثها إلى جانب ما في شخصيتها من اللطف واللين.
