قدم الحسن عددا من الروايات نذكر منها "الليل والنهار"، "عراقيون أجناب"، و"أقصى الجنوب"، والتي فازت عام 1989 بجائزة أفضل رواية عراقية، بالإضافة لمجموعة من القصص القصيرة، كما ترجمت أعماله إلى الإنجليزية والروسية.
وهذه المجموعة القصصية "أعمامي اللصوص" استكمال لفضاء كتابته الإبداعية.
