لذا كان من الطبيعي أن نعيد إصدار هذين العملين القصيرين وهما "لص أمين" و"حلم العم" والتي تكشف المجتمع الروتيني من خلال بعض الشخصيات التي تسعى للتقرب من الأمير "ك" طمعاً في المال والسلطة على حساب القيم والمبادئ، وقصته "لص أمين" والتي تقدم جانباً آخر من شخصية لص يرثي لحال الأسرة التي جاء ليسطو علي أشيائها فيتحول إلي "لص فاضل" إذا سمح لنا الإيطالي داريوفو بالمقارنة، إن هذين العملين الصغيرين حدث ليس بالهين في مسيرة الإبداع الديستويفسكاوية الكبيرة.
