هو من تأليف أحمد أمين، اعتمد فيه على دراسة مبحث الأخلاق، دراسة تربويّة ، قائمة على أسس فلسفيّة تنبثق منها الأخلاق. ولا يتوقّف عند ارتكاز دعائمها على هذه الأسس، بل ويهدف إلى تحرّر الأخلاق من نطاق الكتب، لكن بما يضمن لها التّطبيق في ظلّ ممارسة اجتماعيّة حيّة.
يركّز أمين على مفاهيم أخلاقيّه معيّنه مثل: الصدق، العدل، التعاون، الضمير، الطّاعة. ويبيّن أهم نظريات الأخلاق، ومدى ارتباطها بالواقع، و الأعمال اليوميّة، يشحذ الإرادة وينمّيها في سبيل تأدية الواجب واكتساب الفضيلة، وقد راعى المؤلّف فيه الجهة العملية أكثر من الجهة النظرية، لأنّ التعمّق في النظريات هو وجهٌ من وجوه مهمّة الفلاسفة، أمّا التحلّي بالأخلاق والعمل وفقها فهو من واجب الناس جميعاً، الحياة الأخلاقية تعتمد على الروح التي تبعث على العمل والإنجاز، أكثر مما تعتمد على قواعد العلم والنّظريّات.
وجاء الكتاب في عدّة محاور: علم الأخلاق، الضمير، الحكم الأخلاقي، مذاهب علم الأخلاق ونظريّاته، عﻻقة الفرد بالمجتمع، الحقوق والواجبات، معنى الواجب وأهم الواجبات، المثل الأعلى، الفضيلة.
