«تحرير مصر» كتابٌ في تاريخ مصر، ومراحل التحرير التي مرّت بها إبّان حملة الإستعمار الفرنسيّة والريطانيّة، ألّفه ، كاتبٌ مجهول، وهو من أحد كبار السّاسة الغربيّين في عهد الاستعمار، كما ترجمه إلى العربيّة محمّد لطفي جمعة، تناول الكتاب في جوهره الدّول العظام ومصرَ في السّياسات الأوروبيّة، ودخول فرنسا وإيطاليا إليها، وتحدّث عن المراكز الكاذبة في السّياسة، والتي لا تسير عجلات السّياسة بعيدًا عنها، كما تحدّث عن موقف مصر الحياديّ، وحالَ الشّعب آنذاك، وسياسة بريطانيا الاستعماريّة، ويهدف إلى أن ما وراء إصرار بريطانيا للسيطرة على مصر يعود إلى الحفاظ على مصالحها في الشرق".
عرض الكتاب في أحد فصوله رأيًا لجريدة الطّان الفرنسيّة، قيلَ في «تحرير مصر»:
"استحقّ الثّناء على كتاب نشره بلا اسم مؤلفه، وقد أراد أن ينظر إلى المسألة المصريّة في ذاتها دون النظر إلى ما يذهب إليه أهل وطنه أو خصومهم في أمرها، فلا هو في كلامه بإنكليزي ولا فرنسي؛ بل إن الحقيقة هي ما يرمي إليها أولًا".
