بونسون دو ترايل: روائي فرنسي، معروف بكتاباته في أدب المغامرات.
ولد ألكس بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٢٩م، بمدينة مونمارتر الفرنسية. عُرف بإنتاجه الأدبي الغزير، فقد أنتج ثلاثة وسبعين مجلدًا خلال عشرين عامًا. تنتمي أعماله الروائية المبكرة إلى الأدب القوطي، وعندما بدأ في كتابة «سلسلة روكامبول» قام بنشرها في جريدة يومية، وهي سلسلة من القصص المنتمي لأدب الغموض والمغامرة، وقد مَثلت هذه السلسلة تحوله من الأدب القوطي إلى الأدب البطولي الحداثي.
وقد توفي بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٧١م.

الجزء الأول من سلسلة روايات "روكامبول" لمؤلفها بونسون دو ترايل، وهي رواية "الإرث الخفي"، التي تتحدث عن الصداقة وكيف أنها دُفنت في تربة المادة والطمع الرخيص، حيث وثق الأمير "أرمن دي كركاز" بصديقه الذي ظنه خليلاً مخلصاً وهو "فيليبون"، لكنه خيب ظنه فيه وقتله وفوق هذا تزوج من امرأته ونهب جميع أملاك ولدها واستولى عليها، ومن ثم ألقى الولد في اليمّ كي تكون جميع الأموال والأملاك لقمةً سائغةً له ولولده، لكن الخادم المخلص والوفي "بستيان" استطاع أن يَكتشف حيلته وأن يُنقذ الثروة من بين يدي سارقها وأن يعيدها على ابن أرمان دي كركاز، وتعطي هذه القصة دليلاً واضحاً على أن الصداقة هي أروع وأسمى المعاني الإنسانية التي قد تُعرض للبيع في متجر الوضاعة الإنسانية والطمع، ومن يقرأ أحداث هذه القصة سيجد أن الكاتب قد اختصر صراع البشر على استِملاك الأموال في عدة سطورٍ مليئة بالعبر والتشويق والدموع والحيل الكثيرة، فهي قصة ممتعة مليئة بالأحداث والتشويق التي أبدع الكاتب في وصفها.
