بونسون دو ترايل: روائي فرنسي، معروف بكتاباته في أدب المغامرات.
ولد ألكس بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٢٩م، بمدينة مونمارتر الفرنسية. عُرف بإنتاجه الأدبي الغزير، فقد أنتج ثلاثة وسبعين مجلدًا خلال عشرين عامًا. تنتمي أعماله الروائية المبكرة إلى الأدب القوطي، وعندما بدأ في كتابة «سلسلة روكامبول» قام بنشرها في جريدة يومية، وهي سلسلة من القصص المنتمي لأدب الغموض والمغامرة، وقد مَثلت هذه السلسلة تحوله من الأدب القوطي إلى الأدب البطولي الحداثي.
وقد توفي بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٧١م.
Book Description
انغمس أعضاء عصابة «روكامبول» في البحث عن الرئيس، ناسين الوعد الذي قطعوه على أنفسهم آخر مرة التقوا به؛ فانصرفوا يبحثون عن «بيتزي»؛ تلك المرأة المنكوبة التي أقسم لها «روكامبول» أن يقتص لزوجها «توما»، الذي أُعدم دفاعًا عن الحق والفضيلة. فالرواية تمثل الصراع الدائم بين الخير والشر، الفضيلة والرذيلة، الحب والكره. تصور الرواية كيف تملَّك الحقد قلب السير «جورج»؛ فجعله يخون أخاه، ويعاشر زوجته، وكيف أن ابن الخطيئة «أفندال» قد خان هو أيضًا أخاه الأكبر «وليم»؛ حيث ساعده أبوه على التخلص من أخيه والاستيلاء على لقبه وثروته، بل وخطيبته. غير أن الحق لا يموت، فقد ثأر «توما» لسيده فقتل أولًا أفعى الشر السير «جورج»، ثم قتل ابنه «أفندال». ولما حضر الممات كان توما سعيدًا؛ لأنه أدرك أن حياته لن تذهب سدى.
