"كلمة.. لابد منها:
التاريخ الحقيقي لا يكتب بأقلام المعاصرين.. ولا المعارضين، فهؤلاء يسعون وراء رضا الحكام ويحلمون ببريق ذهبهم، وأولئك يسعون لتصفية حساباتهم معهم.. ويصفعون جثث الزعماء الذين لم ينالوا منهم –في حياتهم- إلا الركلات والإهانات.
وإذا أحببت ملكا أو زعيما فإنك تتوجه على عرش خيالك.. أما إذا كرهته فإنك تجلس فوق ماضيه وتحاول أن تسحقه بأقدامك.. وفي كلتا الحالتين فإنك لا تقول الحقيقة، ولا تساهم في صناعة التاريخ أو محاولة فهمه.
وفي كل يوم تدبج المقالات والحكايات.. والروايات عن تاريخ حكامنا العرب، والشرق أوسطيين.. كل ينظر لهؤلاء الحكام من موقعه، ومن خلال ثقافته، ورؤيته، وموقفه السياسي وينسى أن للتاريخ أبوابا عديدة، وأن للحكام –أيضا- وجوها عديدة !
حكامنا.. بشر مثلنا، لهم قلوب تنبض بالحب، ونفوس تصيبها الحيرة أحيانا.. هم رجال قبل أن يكونوا زعماءً، تحركهم –أحيانا- مشاعرهم، وعواطفهم، ورغباتهم.. لا يشبعهم في كل وقت خبز السياسة، ويشتاقون كثيرا إلى فاكهة الحب اللذيذة، التي تشعرهم بأنهم مازالوا أحياءً يرزقون.
وما أكثر الشهادات التي قدمها عن حكامنا سياسيون ومحللون وصحفيون يدعون دائما أنهم خبراء ببواطن الأمور، عاشوا الأحداث في كواليس المسرح السياسي، وعرفوا عن الزعماء ما لم نعرفه عنهم.. ولكن أغلب هذه الشهادات –ولا أقول كلها- شهادات""مجروحة""أو ناقصة، لأنها تهمل وجه الإنسان في حياة الزعيم.
وإذا كان هناك من يقول: قل لي من هم أصدقاؤك.. أقل لك من أنت.. فأنا أقول قل لي من تحب أقل لك من أنت، فالرجل، عندما يحب يفتح خزائن قلبه، ويعلن""شفرته"" السرية لمن يحب، ويتخلى كثيرا عن حكمته ووقاره، ويطلق العنان لقلبه وعقله.. ليصبح كفراشة رقيقة تحلق في حدائق الجمال والمحبة.. ويتساءل في ذلك البسطاء والزعماء.. فيما أعلم.. والله أعلم.
