الكتاب بحث في اللهجة التواتية الجزائرية في أقاليمها الثلاثة (توات، قورارة، تدكلت) محاولا ربطها بجذورها العربية الفصحى وبتأثيراتها اللهجية مع مجموع اللهجات الأمازيغية التي تتعايش معها إلى اليوم كالزناتية والتارقية وغير ذلك .كما يتناول تفصيلا معجم اللهجة التواتية في تأثيراته اللهجية واللغوية المختلفة ،كما يعرج على الجانب البلاغي في هذه اللهجة وما وظفه فيها الإنسان التواتي من شتى العناصر البلاغية من تشبيه واستعارة وكناية ومجاز ،كما يتعرض بالدراسة والتحليل إلى معظم ما تداولته العامة في هذا الإقليم من أمثال وحكم وكذا ألغاز ، وأخيرا يحاول الوقوف عند أهم النتاجات الشعرية في باب الملحون معرفا بأهم مظاهرها وكذا أهم أعلامها ليصل في الختام إلى الحديث عن هذه اللهجة في مظهرها التأثري والتأثيري معا .
