الحبيب السائح من مواليد منطقة سيدي عيسى ولاية معسكر.
نشأ في مدينة سعيدة، تخرّج من جامعة وهران (ليسانس آداب ودراسات ما بعد التخرّج).
اشتغل بالتّدريس وساهم في الصحافة الجزائرية والعربية.

Book Description
في الرابعة والثلاثين من عمرها، تكتشف طاوس الحضري حياة جدها مولاي الحضري المكنّى بوزڤزة والضابط السابق في صفوف جيش التحرير الوطني الجزائري خلال حرب التحرير. كان جدها قد غادر الجندية والسياسة، عقب الاستقلال، احتجاجاً على إعدام أصغر ضابط برتبة عقيد في صفوف جيش التحرير بتهمة الخيانة والانفصالية، وترك لنجله جلال الحضري، المكنّى كولونيل الزبربر، كراسةً سجّل فيها يومياته المطبوعة بشراسة الحرب وفظاعة الموت ومشاهد التعذيب والإعدامات بالسلاح الأبيض والتصفيات الفردية والجماعية، مرفقةً بشهادة من طبيب جزائري يسرد فيها وقائع من الحرب داخل الجزائر العاصمة.
الكراسة والرسالة ستشكلان لدى جلال بدايةً ليومياته، منذ طفولته مروراً بمدرسة أشبال الثورة فالتحاقه بأكاديمية شرشال وصولاً إلى ضخه في الميدان العملياتي وانتهاءًة بإحالته على التقاعد ليشرع في كتابة مذكراته.
إنها قصة الانكسار الذي بدأ غداة الاستقلال واستمر حتى الآن. ولعل الرواية هي أول نص جزائري يتجرّأ على المسكوت عنه وعلى المحظور في حرب التحرير وما ترتب عنها بعد الاستقلال.
