الدكتور نديم نجدي من مواليد 1965 صريفا – جنوب لبنان، كاتب وباحث لبناني وأستاذ مادّة الفلسفة في الجامعة اللبنانية في كليتي التربية والآداب، نال الدكتوراه في الفلسفة من الجامعة اللبنانية عام 2002 – 2003 إضافة إلى تجربته في التعليم الثانوي الرسمي والخاص من العام 1994 حتى 2001، عالج العديد من الموضوعات الفلسفية والفكرية فيها الكثير من الدقة والعمق في التجربة والتحليل على ما انطوت عليه مضامين كتبه الصادرة والبعض منها قيد الطباعة ناهيك عن نشر العديد من المقالات والأبحاث في الصحف والدوريات الفكرية اللبنانية والعربية.

من معتقل "أنصار" في جنوب لبنان إلى "عتليت" داخل إسرائيل، يكتشف نبيل "أبطاله" عن قرب: يتقاتلون من أجل نيل حبة زيتون إضافية، يشون بزملائهم على وقع سياط الاستجواب، يشتهون مندوبة الصليب الأحمر... لكنهم في الوقت نفسه يتشاركون لحظات الإلفة والتضامن الذي يفرضه بؤس المصير المشترك.
إنها أكثر من رواية. هي شهادة حية كتبت بنفس روائي.
