في هذا الكتاب يدخل مؤلفه الساخر يوسف معاطي عش الدبابير، حيث يضع يده على الازدواج الأخلاقي المتفشى في المجتمع المصري، حيث الحياة السريةالتي نمارسها والحياة العلنية التي نعيشها.
والفارق الكبير بين الكلام بالعامية واللغة التي يكتبها الكاتب حفاظاً على أخلاقيات المجتمع وبين التقبل والرفض لبعض الألفاظ حسب الموقف والحالة التي يقال فيها تدور تلك القصص القصيرة.
