كنا دائما نصبوا إلى الاهتمام بالمعلومات التاريخية والأرشيفية المحفوظة في عدة أماكن داخل الوطن وخارجه، وكنا كثيرا ما نحتاج إلى توضيحات الكثير من الأمور والمواقف والتفاصيل التي نعتقد أنها موجودة لدى المجاهدين الميدانيين المسؤولين على مختلف مستويات القيادة الثورية، الذين كانوا يخططون للعمل العسكري وينفذونه وينسقون جهودهم مع إخوانهم في مختلف النواحي الجزائرية، والذين كانوا يشرفون على التنظيم المدني وربط العلاقات مع الشعب الجزائري، ويعالجون مشاكله المتنوعة وفي كل الحالات الذين كانوا يسجلون مذكراتهم أو يحضرون الاجتماعات ويحفظون المحاضر والتقارير.... وها هو الرائد عمار ملاح أحد قادة الولاية الأولى التاريخية يخرج عن صمته الطويل ليتميز بمذكرات وثائقية عن ناحية بوعريف التي تولى بها مسؤوليات كثيرة، وجاءت هذه المذكرات معتمدة على الوثائق الأرشيفية من محاضر وتقارير وصور عبر فيها بصدق عن الأمانة العلمية. والمؤكد ان الرائد عمار ملاح قد استفاد من مختلف المذكرات المنشورة فلم يتقول على احد ولم يحرر موضوعات بذاتها ولم ينسب شيئا لنفسه دون توثيق، وإنما ترك الوثائق تتكلم وتوضح الحقيقة للمؤرخين المحترفين والهواة. وقد جاء ذل واضحا في الموضوعات التي تطرق إليها وهي التعريف بالناحية الثالثة بوعريف وتوضيح خريطتها الجغرافية ومكانها داخل خريطة الولاية الأولى التاريخية، وخريطة الدوريات التي كانت تمر داخل الناحية. وتعرض إلى ذكر المعارك والكمائن والألغام التي وقعت بالناحية والعمليات البطولية والفدائية التي قادت مجاهدون شهداء وأحياء بكل بطولة وإخلاص وطني. وبين المعارك الكبرى التي وقعت بجبل بوعريف سنوات 1954 إلى 1956 وهي فترة لا نعرف عنها إلا القليل. وضمن ذلك التقرير العسكري لقوات جيش التحرير الوطني بالناحية الثالثة خلال شهري أفريل وماي 1961.
