"أن النذور، هذه الشجرة المقدّسة، حتى الآن، إذا جلست النسوة في باحات البيوت، أيام الصيف والخريف، وهبت ريح من جهة الغرب حاملة معها رائحة الرطوبة، تتنسم كل امرأة رائحة أم النذور، وتغمض عينيها وتتمنى!
