رغم تنوّع واختلاف المهن والوظائف في نظام الحياة الاجتماعية، فإنّ الجامع بينها هو درجة الاستعداد النفسي والدّافعية، من جهة، ودرجة الاستعداد المعرفي والتكوين لممارستها، من جهة أخرى.
ومن خلال هاتين الدّرجتين يمكن قياس الفاعلية في هذه المهن، كما يمكن تشخيص الواقع المهني
ثمّ الكشف عن حقائق العلاقة بين الممارسة المهنية والتقدّم الحضاري. وفي هذا الإطار يمكن أن تتشكّل العلاقة بين المهنة والمهارة فتنتقل بالعمل من مستوى الممارسة الرّوتينيّة إلى مستوى الممارسة الممتعة الفعّالة التي تفضي إلى تجويد المخرجات. وينطبق هذا التّوصيف على كلّ المهن، ولا سيّما مهنة التّدريس التي تستمدّ حيويّتها من اعتبارها منبع الرقيّ الحضاري لكلّ المجتمعات... ولذلك تحتاج هذه المهنة إلى كثير من الاهتمام والعناية عبر التركيز على مسألة التّكوين. وفي هذا المقام ينبغي الاهتمام بالمدرّس من أجل البحث عن فاعليّة هذه المهنة، ولا يمكن أن يكون هذا الاهتمام إلاّ ضمن نسق تكويني يرتكز على مراعاة الأبعاد الذاتيّة للمدرّس والأبعاد الموضوعية للمجتمع، ويسعى من خلال المواءمة بين هذه الأبعاد إلى تحقيق جملة من الأهداف تبدأ من تشريح واقع التكوين وتنتهي إلى بناء ملمح المدرّس الفعّال، وهنا يمكن اعتبار مسألة تكوين المدرّس بمثابة المحرار الذي يساعد على قياس فاعليّته مع المتعلّمين، في الواجهة الأولى، وعلى قياس الفاعليّة بشكل أعمّ وأوسع مع مخرجات التّعليم، في الواجهة الثانية، حيث تتشكّل آثار التعليم الجيّد رقيّا وازدهارا. وفي هذا الكتاب محاولة فهم أهميّة تكوين المدرّس ومواجهة التّحديات المتنّوعة في واقع متغيّر، عبر عرض جملة من المفاهيم التي نحسب أنّها تمثّل أسسا نظرية، وإطارا مفاهيميّا لمعالجة الإشكالية التي تدور حول الكشف عن أساليب تحقيق الفاعلية عبر مسار التكوين في مهنة التدريس. ويمتدّ هذا العرض في تقاطعات مفاهيم: الفاعلية، والدّافعيّة مرورا بمفهوم الكفاءة ومفهوم الأداء، ومفهوم الممارسة المهنيّة وصولا إلى مفهوم البيداغوجيا باعتبارها إطارا نظريا يتلمّس التطبيق في علاقة المعلّم بالمتعلّم عبر المعرفة، والدّيداكتيك باعتبارها إطارا تقنيّا متعلّقا بهذه المعرفة موضوع التّعلّم والتّعليم
