عشت عمري هازئًا بالحب وكنت أظنه يضاد الرجولة ولا يناسب التدين، وظننت نفسي عنه بمنأى، حتى حدث! فأعدت قراءة السنة فرأيت أنها مليئة بالتحريض على الحب، مثل:
يا رسول الله أي الناس أحب إليك؟ عائشة، ومن الرجال؟ أبوها
أفلا أدلكم على شئ إذا فعلتموه تحاببتم... أفشوا السلام بينكم"
"ورجلان تحابا فى الله اجتمعا عليه وتفرقا عليه" وهكذا.
وهذا العمل عبارة عن خواطر وأشعار عبرت بها عن حالتي في أوقات معينة من حياتي، انفعلت بها وصغتها كما عايشتها، فجاء أكثرها فصحى والقليل منها عامي، وبعضها من شعر التفعيلة والبعض الآخر منثور، وبعضها ديني ووطني والبعض الآخر عاطفي.
