"وميض" قصائد شعرية باللهجة العامية الدارجة، يخطها جاسم محمد بن حربان، بكلمات تعبر عن مخزون ثقافي شعبي ثرٍ في وعي الشاعر لكل القيم النبيلة التي يحملها مجتمعه بما فيها من الحب والود والشوق والوفاء وبمفردات واقعية تشير إلى الفرد الذي تتضافر عوامل طبيعية وإجتماعية في تكوين شخصيته، وهذا يبدو أمراً مهماً في تحديد كينونة هذه البنية الشعرية وطبيعتها داخل النص الشعري، والتي يمكن وصفها بأنها قصيرة مهجنة ثنائية التكوين تتمثل بالحضور الشعري والسردي معاً، وهي بنية بلا شك ذات حضور دلالي خاص ومميز في العمل الأدبي عامة، وفي القصيدة العامية بوجه خاص. لنقرأ له (نتايف):
"وبالأمس يا صاحبي ثوبي طويل واتشلله بيدك ،
وتبخر ايسيدي عود عطر وفي شوفتي عيدك،
لوّل تراني قريبك يا صاحبي واليوم من بعيدك،
بيسِ بها صحبة عمر لا تعيدني بها ولا أعيدك".
هكذا يبدو الشعر بلغة أهل اليلاد وأحوالهم، وبكلام منهم وعنهم.
يضم الكتاب خمسة وثلاثين قصيدة باللهجة المحلية البحرينية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "في الهوى خسران" ، "نسيم الليل" ، "إيش بيصير" ، "في الشهقة" ، "خل الحلم" ، "ضوء عمري" ، "إنته منته" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
